About Lois

At the age of 15, I experienced a sudden awakening and became determined to overcome the intense pain and self-consciousness I was feeling. I wanted desperately to be the kind of person who could maintain healthy, loving relationships and make a difference in the world.

By the age of 20, I was vigorously involved in a wide variety of practices, activities and programs designed for personal growth, health, and spiritual development. I studied a wide variety of “schools” of  thought on Conscious Breathwork, and made it my policy to do whatever scared me, as long as I had a hunch it would make me grow. So I got myself Rolfed and even jumped into Firewalking. Talk about scary! But definitely well worth it!

I learned the basics of Polarity Therapy; studied A Course In Miracles; dabbled in Reiki Healing; and engaged in six years of Body-centered Psychotherapy. Imago Couples Therapy (which did help for quite a while). Then I found EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and was amazed at what I could do with clients when combining EFT with Transformational Breathwork®. Wow!

I organized the first Psych-K training here in CT, and took the first Reverse Therapy training in the U.S.!  Along the way, I also picked up some skills in Theta Healing, and have benefited from various forms of “prosperity training,” including programs from Peak Potentials, Abraham-Hicks, and Income Builders International and the Global Information Network.

I’ve been engaged in various aspects of the business world since 1981, when I became probably the youngest female car salesperson ever. Here in CT, I was the Managing Editor of Horizons Magazine and later became the owner and publisher of The Self-Health Networker, a monthly holistic newsmagazine dedicated to helping people take responsibility for their own health and happiness.

By the age of 40, I had realized my original goal. I was finally leading a healthy, prosperous and joyful life, filled with healthy, loving relationships. I was dancing four nights a week, and singing at Karaoke bars on a regular basis.  Only after creating a life I loved so much that I really didn’t care whether I ever met the man of my dreams, I met my life partner, Steven Barrett.

We own a lovely cape together and my dream of having a garden has manifested, thanks to his passion for gardening. We also enjoy a large outdoor hot tub, in which I lounge almost daily while gazing up at a beautiful tree. I have a beautiful daughter and two amazing grandchildren.

Since 2001, I’ve been blessed with a thriving practice as a Holistic Health and Business Coach and Speaker, guiding and supporting those who want to reduce stress, eliminate pain, get healthy, build inner strength and follow their dreams.

Working primarily with the PowerTools™ of Transformational Breathing®, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Reverse Therapy, Thought Management techniques, Tibetan 5-Rites, and my own creations, OxyCise™ and On-The-Ball Anger Clearing™, I see clients in East Hartford, CT as well as online via Zoom or Skype.

I also love to present seminars and trainings on a variety of health and stress-related topics, at government agencies, corporations, churches, hospitals and community service organizations. And in September 2015, I became the Director of Youth Services at Unity of Greater Hartford. I love working and playing with children. Even wrote a children’s story book that teaches them EFT!

I love to sing, dance, body-surf in the ocean, and organize / facilitate Transformational Vacationals, where we spend days together playing, breathing, tapping, and connecting. My last venture was organizing Holistic Health Community Cruises, which were very successful. But they put me behind the computer screen for far too many hours, so not in a hurry to do another one!

My latest passion is sharing the VitaMedallion™, Nutrition from a Necklace! It’s a beautifully designed necklace that actually delivers the frequency of vitamins, minerals (and some of the most popular herbs) directly to your cells!  It’s whole new technology. Read more here.

There seems to be a great deal of confusion about costs for EFT maertials and about what it is necessary to buy to become a competent practitioner. In actual fact, if you are ok about not having glossy covers and packaging, all of the materials are available for no cost whatsoever. I think it is important to point out that you can become a very competent EFT user just by detailed study of the manual. If you want a nice shiny new book, buy a copy, but the manual is also available as a FREE e-book download from Gary’s web site. You DO NOT NEED the DVDs in order to get some solid benefit from EFT as a self-help tool. If, however, 1) you wish to be a serious student of EFT and want to become an expert in these techniques and/or 2) you are skeptical about EFT and need to see lots and lots of evidence, you should seriously consider getting the DVDs. Another reviewer has noted that it costs $150 for 3 DVDs. Wrong! It costs $150 for 3 SETS of DVDs. This is 40 hours of film, plus audio content, wrapped up in nice packaging. However, it is possible to acquire the DVDs for free as well. If one person buys them, they are allowed to make up to 100 copies of each disk and to distribute them freely. (They are NOT allowed to sell them!) Buy some blank DVDs, find someone who owns the DVD sets and request a copy. There are loads of EFT groups and forums online where you can contact others who are willing to share, or to make a group purchase. And, in the interests of fairness, I’d like to point out that the money generated from sales is used to promote EFT around the world. Gary Craig makes no personal profit from EFT products.

Handral, I agree that the DVDs are a great value and a real service Gary is providing to mankind! I do not agree that you can become a competent EFT user just by reading the manual – nor watching the DVDs. But it is a good start. It takes practice and experimentation to determine what works best for you, and mostly to achieve confidence in the process, so that you will use it at the times you need it most.
What I have found, however, is that many people try it on their own and cannot get the results they get with skilled assistance. Sometimes it requires me tapping on them, or tapping along with them, and most importantly, the deepest most lasting changes come when we work on the subconscious beliefs and suppressed traumas that are either too hidden for the individual to recognize or too scary for them to remember and/or revisit.
Thank you for your input Handral!

Unless I’ve missed a page the sienlce seems deafening on this one. So, being the sort of person who tends to volunteer when no-one else will (so diminishing my fear of failour), I offer this. This theme chimes with me in particular at present; these thoughts are un-sculpted so may wander. Scam or not scam’ is very much the question for me; I pursued a Hypnotherapy course a couple of years ago and found the choosing of one that seemed genuine and with some gravitas well nigh impossible. To the extent that even now I am not sure. The same applied when I had the opportunity of having further counselling/psychotherapy training paid for as part of my then job; my decision-making ability was frozen when surveying the range on offer with little seeming quality assured’ indication.I gather information and ideas from as wide a range as I am able; Robins-Madanes Training in Strategic Intervention Coaching has a look of verisimilitude about it, but like Bandler and McKenna (and perhaps to a lesser extent Grindler) I have the impression that they all seem world-renowned, the best, fated by Governments and multi-national companies and leaders in their field. So who to follow?More lowley practitioners follow the same format; I have the impression that all the practitioners of Coaching, Mentoring, NLP, Hynotherapy and Counselling that I have skimmed through on the internet are THE people to go to, offering the best and most complete service to the locality, wider area and indeed region.I do not see Regulation as a solution; in the current state of affaires it seems to me that the most important criteria when offering a service is personal authenticity, integrity, responsivity, caring and reflectiveness on one’s own behaviour. But then, perhaps many who intentionally or inadvertently promote snake-oil’ would say the same. As a consumer, caveat emptor; although hardly a protection for the vulnerable. How closely some Coaching and Mentoring seems to rub up against Counselling and Psychotherapy; the same comments as above apply. And as for prescience . When I was younger I was introduced to the work of Rogers as being solid and Perls and Berne and May and Ellis as being a little more cutting edge’. Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Rational-Emotive Therapy and the like seemed very off the mainstream’, as later did NLP. Joining the newly formed British Association of Counselling seemed an irrelevance then; now seems like it might have been a good idea! NLP took the works of Perls, Erickson and Satir to distill their essences (although NLP now seems to me to have become a thing’ with increasing cult status).None of the above ramblings may help the debate. Perhaps the best approach is to be a more genuine version of Dickens’ Uriah Heep, and retain a sense of humility when encountering others.

Here are a few facts about using the Emotional Freedom Techniques EFT to reduce stsres What Is EFT? The emotional freedom technique is based upon ancient healing practices including acupuncture and acupressure along key ley or meridian lines in the body applied with thoroughly modern methods But instead of applying pressure or sticking needles at key points along these ley lines you tap on them instead while using key phrases to help release negative emotions and then you do a positive round to instill positive and healing emotions into your body Just like Chinese medicine operates on principles to remove energy blockages within the body EFT operates on this same principle.
